I took my first trip to Europe back in 1979, and all my pictures are 35mm slides, just sitting in a carousel collecting dust. I really want to see them again! This is not only about my pics, my Aunt went to Norway in the 50’s (certainly her slides are black and white), and now that I’m into genealogy I want to see pictures she took . They were mostly of our relatives over there. It would be so fun to put all these pictures into my family tree software! Is this possible, and if so, how can I do it?

This is what the details on the card thing are:
1) 35mm film scanner
2) 5.0 megapixels CMOS sensor equals 1829 dpi enhanced 3600 dpi
3)10 bits per colour channel for data conversion
4)fixed focus
5)Automatic eposure control
6)Automatic colour balance
7) 3 white LED back light source

Best Answer: I have not used this one, but i just got a different 35mm slide and negative scanner and it does work. It is really easy to use. If you are after professional quality you will probably want to use a service, but for home use I absolutely love mine. It also converts developed negatives into digital images.

Interesting story on domain flipping

What is domain flipping? With domain flipping, you buy website domain names and then turn around and sell them to other people. The idea behind flipping domains involves making more money from the sale of the domains than you spent on them. You’ll often find that flipping is very popular in all types of sales. Flipping is even practiced by real estate moguls. Flipping domain names can be done as a side business, and that’s the nicest thing about it. Like most business ventures, it’s all about how much work you put into it. Here are a few ways that you can increase the profits you earn from buying and selling domain names.

Buy low and sell high. Buy only when domains go on sale. You will be able to get domains at discounted prices from most of the large registrars as they have plenty of sales and promotions. You need to take advantage of these promotions. Then, at the very least you will earn a profit even if you sell the domain name at retail price. The lower your buying rate the higher your profit will be. You need to beware of companies selling domains too cheaply. You need to be sure that you are purchasing from an established registrar.

Consider holding on to your domain names. Did you ever consider the thought of keeping your domain names for a while? Domain names are a lot like wine; when they are kept out of circulation longer, they tend to get more valuable. They become even more valuable if you attach the domain name to a small website that brings in advertising revenue. The longer you hold on to your domain name the better your selling price will be.

Make certain that you price your domain appropriately. A domain name that has never been attached to a website is going to be harder to sell for a large profit. You can still make money from them of course but you need to make sure that the prices are appropriate. An unused domain is unlikely to net a return of hundreds of dollars. Overpricing your domains can lead to you not making the sale. If you under price your domains, though, you could end up losing money. Be mindful of how much other types of domains are being sold for and use it as a guide for how much you will be asking for your own domains. Domain flipping is an excellent way to earn money online. Some people turn domain flipping into a full time business. For others it stays a hobby. It is completely up to you to decide how much work and time you will put into this online cash generation technique. It’s fine if all you want to do is make a little extra money. However, earning a full time income is also an excellent possibility!
