They call this a Slide & Film Digital Scanner. I saw at a local photo shop and they told me it will scan my 35mm slides. Does anyone have this one? If not, it converts old 35 mm slides and film negatives into digital images, does it sound like it will work?

The scanner I have does not scan into high resolution format. Will the best results come from scanning them in myself, or paying a service to scan them in? How do these services offer varying levels of resolution? These slides are from my years in college (in the 80’s) and high resolution is the main goal I’m trying to achieve. I recently was given a film scanner and my question is this: does the film from the camera have to be developed in order to view it in this scanner? or can I just scan it in an undeveloped state? It is 35mm color film. Thanks.
